The waves of pleasure rise and fall, crashing like waves. Eventually Annie has to roll away because her body is shaking, too sensitive for any more and Lily takes charge this time, moving around till they both have their heads on the pillow and a blanket laying over them. On the pillows blue and red hair mix and it should clash but to Annie it looks beautiful – she aches for the camera she had left in the other room along with her soaked bag.
Lily touches Annie's cheek gently. "Can I ask you something?"
"Of course."
"I know you have a life away from here, but could you spare just today? Stay with me and let me show you the beauty here?"
Annie hesitates, but not because she doesn't want to stay. "I'm afraid if I stay a day I'll never want to leave."
"You can leave at any time. You can also come back; you're always welcome. I would like to get to know you more." Lily smiles. Annie loves the way Lily seems to see things differently: no games, no stress, no social constructs.
Annie thinks for a moment. "I can stay a day or two, as long as I take some photographs of the flowers,"
"We can get your photos and I will make sure you come to no harm this time," Lily says, coming closer.
Annie takes the clear offer and kisses Lily as soft as if she were kissing the petals of a flower she didn't want to mark.
"I have much to show you," Lily says against Annie's mouth, and Annie would swear the blooms in the room grow, sprout new buds, and unfurl new petals.
